Words from the Alsherjargothi
August was a great month for us! Our numbers are growing and Baldrshof hosted their annual District event, Freyfaxi. I look forward to seeing how our hofs develop and beautify over the years and this trip did not disappoint. The fine folk at Baldrshof have outdone themselves making this a beautiful and special temple to bright Baldr. I would be remiss if I didn't mention all the hard work Dan and Paul have put into remodel and beautification work at Óðinshof. Well done all around!
At Freyfaxi, we oathed in the Clausens, Christian Penner, and Steve Mundy as Folkbuilders. We also ordained Nathan Erlandson as a Gothi. It is worth noting that it is quite a challenge to make it to ordination and few who start the journey make it to completion. We also had the very special honor of preforming 2 baby namings!
Things are looking bright going into the fall. One thing that is amazing is the consistent weekend work being put in at Sigrheim. Things are slowly taking shape and there are amazing things in store. It is worth noting that we are hosting the national Winter Nights at Sigrheim for the first time this year so I would encourage you ALL to sign up and come celebrate with us!
