The Baldrshof Food Pantry has been active in the Murdock community since the spring of 2021, immediately following the dedication of the Hof. Our members, their spouses, and children have been faithfully volunteering for this monthly event since the beginning.
We have been fortunate, through the tireless work of Folkbuilders Ashley McStocker and Nathan Erlandson, to have a large variety of food to distribute ranging from dried and boxed goods to large amounts of prime meats, cases of water to hygiene items. Their dedication has truly made Baldrshof Food Pantry a great success. Folkbuilder Jason Gallagher has also been a driving force in this charitable work. His dedication each month inspires us all!
We are happy and honored to be able to serve the communities of Murdock, Benson, and Kerkhoven, having families from all three communities stop by each month. Many have been referred by other religious organizations and churches in the area, and we are thankful for their support. We have been serving between 10-20 families every month (depending on the weather). In November 2021, we were very happy to hand out over 20 large turkeys so families could enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal!
The Baldrshof Food Pantry is on the third Saturday of every month, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.
