IX. The affirmation of the struggle of life, welcoming the challenge of that struggle and living life wholly and with joy, and facing eternity with courage
Life’s struggle is the whetstone that sharpens the sword of spirit. We should not regret the obstacles that confront us but use them to grow ever stronger and wiser. Nor should we let them drain away our enjoyment of life. Let us live our lives with vigor – and when it is time to die, let us do that with dignity, honor, and grace.
As a Folk in history, we did not fear hard work, difficulty, or struggle. A challenge was welcomed and hoped for, as our Ancestors knew in their hearts that without, made for weakness of body and mind. In that struggle also came the appreciation of success and victory. Without hardship one does not know the self. It is the obstacles that we encounter that shape who and what we become. Challenge should either make us stronger or put us in the ground, quitting only reaffirmed weakness. We unfortunately see an abundance of weakness in our Folk in this age. If challenge doesn’t present itself, it is up to each and every one of us to find that challenge and conquer it. When you’ve quit once, the next time is even easier and so on. We’ve all done it at some point in our lives, which the hope is that we learn from that weakness and become more. Or we can continue to let it control us; we all have that choice. Embrace difficulty, don’t wish it were easier—instead, become better. A sword doesn’t become a sword without first being beaten and burned repeatedly, the more, the mightier the sword. Live with vigor, embrace difficulty, grow stronger and wiser, and live well.
Macht geht vor Recht - Might is Right.
